Critical Reflection

Critical Reflection for my Blog
It is high time for me to act as a Critique. I am supposed to give critical reflection on my blog that I have already posted not even worthy of criticize let alone reflect or grade.
I am not a Critique. Being a teacher of secondary and higher secondary school what I usually do every year I cheek hundreds of written answer scripts of my students not the blog or portfolio let alone personal blog. So it is very interesting as well as challenging topic to me. I find it very complicated as technology was not friendly or familiar to me but honestly speaking it is in the rising stage. Still the Photoshop! It doesn’t like me but I like it. It seems to me somewhat like one angle love. I know the reason behind this and I on the way of overcoming it. I deem that my son would do better than me.
But I do believe that failure is the pillar of success. I am not at all frustrated. I am really happy and satisfied with my work that I have already posted with the help of my teacher Dr. Estes. If she had not helped me, I would not have made it possible to do the least that I have posted.
I tried to post all my class activities but could not explained much about that for lack of understanding. I tried to show Horizon Variations, Grouping Theme, Color and emphasis, Golden Section and reflection of the Geospatial Google Earth Seminar.
Anyway, how do I evaluate my blog? Yes, It’ s great! Not to you but to me. I don’t like to grade it because it would be a matter of laughing. I had a little knowledge on computer just sending and receiving e-mails.
Basing on that little knowledge I dared to choose Visual Literacy, which is very imaginative and thematic. Isn’t it a gigantic step for me?
In the classroom I used to making some sort of preparation that I would do it at home. When I was at home I got myself involved in checking lots of emails and chatting with family members to remove homesickness. Recently I discovered something new and very interesting and it is Face book! This is a actually blessing of technology and credit goes to my technology teachers of JMU. The most interesting fact is that I discovered my x-students who are now around the Globe.
Any way as I missed two classes for some unavoidable problem, I couldn’t post all the topics on time. I tried to get it back but failed because of my Photoshop software. It has made my laptop slower and frozen and now it is totally out of order! Moreover, this is totally new to me. But I enjoyed it and still I am enjoying. What I put into by blog is not perfect always. My settings, color adjustment, alignment is not appropriate. I need to work hard to overcome the problem and I am very much hopeful about my success.

  1. Thanks for your honest insights. This assignment calls for you to respond to specific questions at the end of the "Composition" section of the Krause text on pages 118-121. These questions should be considered in terms of your overall portfolio as well as in relation to your individual assignments. It is a chance to step back and consider your body of work and what might be done to refine it. No work is ever perfect but thoughtful reflection will improve your technique.
