First presenter: Mapping Historical Resources, Harrisonburg, VA, Kevin Borg, History Department

My view or opinion about this presenter is positive. He is very much analytical. The map he displayed is the combination of both past and present through which the viewers can compare between two. The presenter himself and the students of JMU worked very had on it. The intention of these is to help the SS of JMU to realize how HB has change with passage of time so that SS can do a research on it. The map shows the ultimate change of HB. It has helped he know the past and present of this city. It was created on Google earth. The presenter used Photoshop too.
Second presenter: Interactive Geologic Maps of Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley Region - Steve Whitmeyer, Geology & Environmental Science.
The second presenter presented some parts of the city Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley Region. In this map we saw rocks. The presenter used different colors to highlight them. The visuals were presented jointly with the presenter’s colleague. They also used Google earth and Google maps. The aim of this effort is of course education and research rather than  creating network among the components of Virginia. The target groups are students mainly. It was actually open for all.. The map is an actual representation of locations in Virginia that provide data and pictures. These visuals have helped me get to know the use of Google earth as  this the first opportunity for me I am trying to keep pace with technology.
